Grand Daughters

On July 29th my Grand Daughters spent the night with us. We had a great time. The older one aka Darling, drove her Pawpaw's new truck and my car. She also helped cook supper and made the cornbread all by herself. She played sudoku and we laughed alot. She is really getting good at it. I love her so much.
The younger one aka Baby girl, played with my puppy, she took care of him too. She also helped with supper. She made home made bread in the bread machine all by herself. She had us fill out surveys and we laughed alot. She wrote me the best letter any Grand Mother could want. I love her so much.
My Daughter came over the next day and she brought our Grand Son with her aka Raging Bull but he insist that he is Tommy chocho train. He is something else. He loves chocolate and has to have some every time he comes over. I rasised heck about where he eats it and then I want to kick myself for it but the girls had to eat at the snack bar so he does too. He rules everything and most of all his Grand Father. I love him so much.
My Daughter had worked all day and she was so tired so we didn't visit long but I got two hugs and kisses so I was good to go. I love her so much.
My Hubby left for work this morning. I will miss him so much and I love him so much.

The next day

We had a great time. It was relaxing and fun to get together with everyone. My brother-in-law brought the chicken and his son and my hubby fried the chicken. I fried the meat pies, banana peppers and pickles with the help of my sister-in-law and one of our friends, he did most of the eggplants. I think everyone had a good time and plenty to eat. Another friend brought chips and her great dip. It was too hot to do any dancing but still had a great time.

Chicken fry

This afternoon, Hubby and I are going to a chicken fry at our friends, his brother and wife and other friends will be there. The last I heard around 20 or so people will be there. My hubby will fry the chicken outside with an iron pot on a propane burner. I will fry meat pies, which I made yesterday and put in the fridge. I make my own crust from scratch. I made 36 mini meat pies. An all day thing. I will also fry pickles, eggplants and bananas peppers which We grew ourselves and I pickled. I love fried bananas peppers. Yum Yum I can't wait. I am the designated driver. It is my turn. Our friends live out in the country, so the loud music and our laughter and acting crazy won't bother anyone and we all have our designated drivers so safety for others and ourselves are always number one with all of us. We love to eat and dance and act silly. All clean fun and some hangovers. Other friends bring things such as chip and dips and cokes. We do this about once a month or so and take turns supplying the main meal. We are all married with kids and grand kids and sometimes they join us. They love the fact that we still have such fun at our age, 50+ We have been friends for over 30 years and all have been married for over 30 years. We all live within 15 miles of each other and our children. Some of us are retired and some still work. We have such a good time, can't wait till tonight.
